I am building a skills school in the Spiti Valley
A space for holistic learning where environment and technology become the tools to understand and care for the world around us.
A space for holistic learning where environment and technology become the tools to understand and care for the world around us.
My work in AI and education, both online and on the ground, is about organising effort and people to build systems that will make this school possible, first in the Himalayas and then in other parts of the world.
FOLLOW MY WORK IN EDUCATION & AI GOVERNANCE
Financed partly through farmers' collectives, the school will grow from Spiti's soil.
Trades like electrician and plumbing will be taught in the 1st year, along with marketing, communication, philosophy, art, and AI.
Students will learn to question, reason and make sense of the world around them using the environment and technology as a tool.
Learning will link the wisdom to Spiti's unique community, ecology, climate and livelihood.
I am seeking to learn from organisations that run livelihood and skill-development programmes in India.
To do this, I would like to offer a mutually beneficial exchange:
I can volunteer for 2–3 weeks to train your staff and learners on AI literacy, using a curriculum aligned with UNESCO’s AI competency framework and the Indian National Education Policy (NEP), 2020.
In return, I request the opportunity to shadow your field teams and learn from their day-to-day work.
Each role in the past 15 years has added a layer of experience and insight to build systems with people.

May 2024 - today
From May 2024 to March 2025, I hiked, studied, worked on a farm, and travelled across Spain and the Himalayas. This period helped me see the world with a fresh perspective. It confirmed my intention to build a learning centre in the mountains and continue my work in education and technology across countries. These experiences deepened my belief that learning, supported by technology, can change how we live, work, and care for each other and the planet.
From May 2025 onward, I focused on building the Global South Network for AI in Education. An online network bringing teachers, founders, and policymakers together to understand, use and govern AI in Education. On the ground, I trained teachers and students in Spiti and Bodhgaya on AI literacy.
I have now begun early work for building a farmers' collective in Spiti. I am reaching out to academicians and pioneer skill development organisations in India to learn how TVET and skills systems operate.
Each step in this direction is a preparation to build the school and the community that will run it.

My recent role as a Business Development Lead took me to Dhaka and Yangon, where I spearheaded the development of an AI-integrated digital learning platform. The aim? To bridge the market skills gap in Myanmar's emergency context. It was a project that required innovation, collaboration, and, most importantly, a vision to provide over 1.5 million young people with the tools they needed to build their futures. Securing $0.4 million in funding within a year, I worked closely with Helvetas, UNICEF, and Save the Children to bring this platform to life in low-tech environments, aligning the technology with local demands. Through market research, needs assessments, and careful planning, we delivered a product that truly met the needs of the people it was designed for.

June 2021 – July 2022
In Dhaka, I took on the challenge of scaling Bangladesh's first open-source e-learning platform for primary healthcare workers. This project wasn’t just about implementing technology; it was about expanding healthcare access to rural communities who needed it the most. By fostering collaboration on GitHub, we created a platform that could be continuously improved by the community. Strategic contract negotiations reduced procurement costs by 20%, allowing us to maximize the impact of the project. From publishing Terms of Reference for digitalization projects to guiding mobile app development for youth training, I ensured that we aligned technical solutions with the real-world needs of the communities we served.
Hirslanden AG & University Hospital of Zurich, Switzerland
July 2016 – May 2021
In Switzerland, as a Product Manager, I took on the challenge of driving digital innovation in a healthcare setting. Working across hospital departments, I integrated IT service management solutions that boosted operational efficiency by 30%. The goal was clear: improve patient care by streamlining processes. To ensure seamless functionality, I worked closely with IT teams, business units, and vendors, achieving a 99.99% service availability rate. Leading requirements gathering sessions and overseeing the deployment of software enhancements, I ensured that the new solutions aligned perfectly with the hospital's IT infrastructure. But more than that, it was about change management-building capacity and ensuring that staff embraced these new tools and processes.
Zimmer GMBH, Switzerland
Jan 2014 – July 2014
As a trainee at Zimmer GMBH, I worked on the implementation of a prosthetic joint registry web application. My role involved creating a toolkit and documenting best practices that were tailored to meet the needs of diverse markets, specifically in Austria, Germany, and the Netherlands. It was a unique challenge to tailor a solution that met regulatory and user requirements in different regions, and I thrived on ensuring the solution was both functional and user-friendly. Post-implementation, I supported training initiatives that empowered users to adopt the new systems confidently.

March 2010 – June 2012
Before my work in Europe, I was fortunate enough to lead projects across India and Africa, where I managed the deployment of digital solutions in healthcare settings. At Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi, for example, I facilitated workshops to gather the necessary product specifications, helping the hospital transition from manual to automated billing, procurement, and logistics systems. This resulted in over a 40% improvement in billing accuracy, positioning the hospital for a full digital transformation. I also led a process redesign that enhanced workflow efficiency, with staff adapting to the new digital systems in under three months. A remarkable achievement for such a large organisation.
